That was so much more realistic than most endings. ![]() ![]() And I loved how at the end instead of a nice bow wrapping up a perfect HEA, Carter and Raine were both willing to adjust their future plans for each other. What he did to prove himself to Raine was AHHHMAZING. I loved how Raine gained confidence as the plot progressed and I loved how Carter eventually owned his feelings, although it took him FOREVER. That suspenseful arc was a nice addition to add a bit of angst to the plot. Between the angry and lustful push/pull between Carter and Raine, the jealousy and possessiveness, and the thread if suspense in the background I couldn’t get enough of this enemies-to-lovers romance. ![]() What follows is a story that had me on the edge of my seat.
